This commission was a leaving present, and the recipient was absolutely delighted with it.

These two were best friends and I tried to capture their breed and personality in the painting - collie and lab…I think we can guess who is the more active of the two! I went for a coloured background, and chose hints of grey and blue to make both coats stand out from the canvas. I loved painting this pair. It’s one of my older commissions, but still one of my favourites.
