This beautiful boy was commissioned as an acrylic painting onto prepared artist board. At A2, it was slightly larger than my average artwork but really enjoyable to do.

I used a monochrome palette of simple black and white for his coat, and a plain mid grey background to make the contrast pop. Topped off with just a tiny hint of pale pink on his muzzle.

The client requested the flatter style artist board in order to easily frame it at home to best match their decor.
